6th to 12th grade. The goal of Student Ministry at First Presbyterian Church is for all youth to have opportunities
to grow in their personal faith and within the community of faith of the entire church body.

High School Youth Group

Sundays 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Senior High Youth Group meets on Sundays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Student Center.
The address is 711 6th Street NW. During this time we seek to encourage one another as we grow as disciples of Christ.
Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events throughout the year.
By engaging in activities that are centered around the themes of Bible study, service and fellowship,
youth are encouraged to continue growing as they journey together in faith.

Middle Schoolers meet at the Student Center every Wednesday afternoon (5:30-7:30).
The focus of our middle school youth group is simple: love God, love others, and follow Jesus.

Mission-minded Youth
|
Serving others is a great way to experience the power and love of God in our lives.
Students have many opportunities to serve God and others through various service projects throughout the year.
Locally, students serve at our Soup Kitchen and Bag Lunch Ministries.
They also organize and participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring Project to help raise food and funds for hungry people,
they serve at various Hands and Feet Projects each month where they meet the needs of members from our congregation,
including basic yard work, house visits, and minor home repairs.
Students organize and make care packages for residents of the Agape House, a local women's rehabilitation facility.
In additition to the local missions students also have the opportunity to take part in global missions by participating in the mission trip to Honduras every other year.

Montreat Conferences

Our high schoolers have a yearly summer conference at Montreat in North Carolina.
Students from all around the country participate in this giant event.
Many opportunities are created for growth, laughter, worship and recreation.
We stay in our own housing and build a stronger community by the whole experience. Sign up early.

Middle School Great Escape

Our middle schoolers enjoy an action packed summer trip to one of many regional
destinations with Great Escape. The week-long retreat is a highlight of fun and energy.
The focus of these weeks is to discover the love of Christ and His plan for our lives.

Confirmation Program

Each school year all the sixth graders are invited to be a part of our confirmation class. This experience equips
